Is it right for your floor?
Yes: laminate · vinyl and LVT (Karndean, Amtico) · sealed or lacquered wood, including engineered oak · ceramic and porcelain tile · lino · sealed terracotta and polished stone.
No: oiled or waxed wood (it won't bond) · unsealed stone, bare wood or open grout · a floor that already has another acrylic polish on it (strip that first).
Not sure whether your floor is sealed? Drop a bead of water on it. If it sits as a bead, you're good to go. If it soaks in and darkens, it isn't sealed.
How to apply: three rules
1. Start with a properly clean floor. Old polish, cleaner residue or grease trapped under the coat is the number-one cause of a milky or patchy finish. Use Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner or any pH-neutral floor cleaner (no vinegar, no steam mop) and let the floor dry completely.
2. Thin coat, one direction. Pour a thin S-shape onto the floor, spread it with a clean, dry microfibre pad, and don't work it in.
3. Then leave it alone. One hour before you walk on it. Twenty-four hours before furniture, rugs, damp mopping or the hoover, and keep the brush-roll off it for the first couple of days.
Test a patch somewhere out of sight first. It's a finish, not a cleaner: it's designed to stay on.

What it does, and what it doesn't
Which floors it works on, and which it doesn't.
The floor it's bought for most. Brings back the depth and shine on dull, scuffed laminate in one thin coat. Bear in mind the finish is gloss; matt laminate will come up shiny.
Sheet vinyl, vinyl tiles and luxury vinyl tile including Karndean and Amtico. Clean thoroughly first; LVT holds onto old dressing and that is what causes a patchy finish.
Lacquered or polyurethane-sealed solid and engineered wood, including engineered oak. Not for oiled or waxed wood: it won't bond. Water-bead test if you're unsure.
Ceramic and porcelain tile, lino, sealed terracotta and polished stone. Fills the micro-scratches that make old tile look cloudy. Unsealed stone and open grout will simply drink it.
Three rules. Break them and it streaks.

It fills fine scratches. It won't fill gouges.
This is an acrylic polymer finish, not a filler. It lays a thin clear coat over an already-sealed floor, fills the micro-scratches that make it look cloudy and brings the shine back. Cuts you can feel with a fingernail, worn-through lacquer and water damage need a repair or a refinish, and no polish will change that.
Test a patch somewhere out of sight first. It's designed to stay on the floor, so if you ever want it off you'll need an ammonia-based stripper and some elbow grease. Keep the coat thin and you'll never need to.

A note on the finish: it is gloss, and only gloss. On matt laminate or a satin-lacquered floor that is a change of look, not just a clean-up. If you want the floor to look exactly as it did on day one, only shinier, you'll be pleased; if you want it to stay matt, this isn't the product.

Does it work on laminate?
Yes. Laminate is one of the floors it's made for. Expect a high-gloss finish, so if your laminate is matt and you want to keep it matt, this isn't the product for you.
What about Karndean, Amtico or other LVT?
Yes, it's suitable for vinyl and luxury vinyl tile. Clean thoroughly first (LVT holds onto old dressing) and test a patch. If you already use the flooring brand's own dressing, strip that before applying this one.
Engineered oak or lacquered solid wood?
Yes, as long as the wood is sealed with lacquer or polyurethane rather than oiled or waxed. Drop a bead of water on the floor: if it sits as a bead the floor is sealed; if it soaks in and darkens, it isn't, and this product won't bond to it.
Will it fill my dog's claw scratches?
Fine surface scratches and scuffs, yes. Cuts and gouges you can feel with a fingernail, no. It brightens the floor around them so they show less, but it isn't a filler.
Is it slippery?
No. Applied thinly as directed it adds grip. It only gets slippery if you put it on far too thick, so go easy.
Can I mop the floor afterwards?
Yes, after 24 hours. Damp mop, not wet, with a pH-neutral cleaner. No steam mops and no vinegar; both will lift the finish.
Will the hoover mark it?
A brush-roll hoover can scuff the new coat in the first day or two, before it has fully hardened. Use the hard-floor setting or keep the brush-roll off for 48 hours. Once cured, normal hoovering is fine, and a second thin coat will cover any early marks.
How long does it last, and can I recoat?
Three to six months depending on traffic: longer in a spare room, shorter in a busy hallway with dogs. When it starts to dull, clean the floor properly and put another thin coat over the top.
Gloss or satin?
Gloss. There is no satin version of this product. If you're after a soft sheen rather than a shine, this isn't the one.
How much do I need?
Measure each room, length times width in metres. The 946 ml bottle does up to 60 m²; the 473 ml bottle around 30 m². Most kitchen-diners and hallways together come in under 35 m².
How do I get it off again?
It's meant to stay on, so removal takes effort: an ammonia-based floor stripper (or a dedicated acrylic polish remover), a scrubbing pad and a couple of passes. That's why we say test a patch first and keep the coat thin.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Yes, when used as directed. It's water-based, unscented, low VOC and not classified as hazardous. Keep them off the floor for the first hour while it dries.
